Background
This older home, located on the outskirts of Morrison, Colorado had amazing views of the Evergreen mountains, lots of trees, and good acreage which is what attracted our clients. They had found the perfect private, mountain location with a home that had good bones.
The family watched the show Mega Decks and knew they had to contact me and my team to create their own Four Season Outdoor Living Space.
The Vision
Since the property already provided a good amount of privacy from the existing trees and acreage, the design was centered around integrating the indoor and outdoor areas of the home to take advantage of the amazing mountain views comfortably, regardless of the weather.
First up was opening up the back of the home by removing a section of the kitchen wall and replacing it with an operable glass wall that opens out to a fully enclosable nook complete with a stone fireplace feature wall, mounted TV, large skylight, infrared heating elements, and wind-blocking glass walls.
Next up was providing additional sitting and dining areas that include an infinity style fire feature, covered wrap-around walkways, and a sweeping staircase leading down to an open-air hardscape patio complete with a stone gas fire pit and retaining wall.
This masterpiece is ready for any season of the year and the family is especially excited about being able to enjoy a Colorado summers under the stars or cozying up to watch a movie while winter blows all around them… all while on their brand new Four Season Outdoor Living Space.
